Just needs an R-engine!

Really needs a pronounced lip on the front spoiler, and a wing on the back, a la 850 R -

Plus a stonking T5 motor!!

I agree - I don't get this R "design" to be honest, to me it shouts "all show and no go". Its not an 'R' model in the traditional sense. However you can't blame Volvo I guess, a lot of car companies are chavving up the cars with spoilers, big wheels etc even though under the bonnet it could be anything from a boggo base model to a full blown performance motor. Whatever sells I guess....

I bet most of the people that will buy these cars won't even know what R sport meant.

Its a sports pack. Spoilers, bigger wheels, suspension lowered, specific interior trim and plently of little badges.

It means you can look like you drive an Audi S-line,

without the actual embarrassment of driving an Audi.

There's a Sky Blue C30 with 400bhp thats very worthy of an 'R' Badge.

The ONE car that could bring Volvo to a new audience, and they won't produce it.

I'm sorry, but that's one of the ugliest cars I've ever set eyes on. Personal opinion, of course, but my main gripe is that there is precious little that distinguishes it from all the other generic models on the road today. Pity, because the S60 used to be one of my favourite cars...
