Black badges for XC90
 

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get black badges to replace the chrome VOLVO and XC90 T8 lettering on the rear?

I'm not a fan of chrome and the rest is being wrapped but this seems to be the only thing they wont wrap because of the size

You could go down the spray paint route, I've seen a S60 knocking about with the badges done in gloss black. Turns out he did them with Plasticote spray paint. Another place to have a look is Ali Express, they seem to do weird and wonderful bits for cars.

When de-badging a car you can pretty much guarantee that the adhesive pads on the back of the badge will be only partly removed, meaning that you'd have to finish cleaning them off before applying, and trimming to size, new pads.

For what it costs, you're probably better off just going to the dealership and buying new badges - wouldn't have thought they'd be more than a few quid each. You may even be able to get the dealership to print the application instructions off so that you can be sure of getting the location absolutely right when sticking them on. :)

Anyone have any success here? The badges are literally the only chrome trims on an R-Design and I think I’d like them to match the rest of the gloss black trims, when mine turns up.

Bought all mine from AliExpress "Volvo" "XC90" "D5" all in gloss black and all the same size as original.
All replaced and look so much better.
