Just bought a 850 tdi

Hi After a long time away I have bought an old 850 tdi Estate. 1996 with 200k serviced miles. Question :- what are the things to keep an eye on and any tricks to improve overall performance.

Do a search of this and the V70 forums - plenty of info. Briefly, ensure the cambelt was changed at 160k or so. It's next due at 240k or 80k after it was last done. Other things are routine. It's worth getting VADIS to check the service items as you won't find it anywhere else. Superb engine btw. Regards.

Lookout for that worn vaccum pump aswell if its got 200k odd on it.

Will sound like a noisy tappet but worse at idle.

Pump the brake and hold and it should go away for a while.
