Washer Jets

Hi I have a problem with the washer jets on my 2017 V40, which started this week.

When I pull the wiper stalk forward to active the front window screen / headlight washer jets the rear jet activates. I suspect it’s the stalk but wondered if it could be anything else.

Any suggestions?
