V40 spluttering
 

Hi to all I'm new to the forum and need advise.

I have a V40 r-design 2014 and has started spluttering but not all the time its has if the car is running out of fuel.
There are no lights showing on the dash.
when holding the rpm around 2000 the rpm will fluctuate is it the fuel filter?
2014 V40 r-design lux diesel.

any advise please.

When was the fuel filter last changed? Worth changing it to eliminate that possible cause before you get to needing diagnostics, etc.

Thank you for replying the car has only done 55,827 mile it has full service history it show's the fuel filter was changed in 2018 @ 28,886.

The service was done by Volvo main dealer.
