Volvo 240 scuttle panel
 

I have a 1989 240DL estate with rot beginning to show on scuttle panel edge below front windscreen. Does anybody know source for new or used scuttle panel? Incidentally my '89 240 is the NEWEST car I've ever owned by 23 years (and the only one I've ever had with a cassette player). My next newest cars were a '66 P1800S and '66 Amazon 122S.

I think your best bet would be to ask some breakers if they would take a cut from that area, but be aware it's a common rust spot and the replacement may not be perfect.

Depending on where the rot is, it's not a hugely complex area to fabricate a replacement, if you don't have access to metal shaping tools you can make the curves separately and weld them together.

It looks worse than it is. All you need is pliers and a hammer.
