Instrument cluster - Spare part no 8251282
 

Due to the theft of the instrument cluster, I need a replacement. As the cluster contains part of the management computer needed to manage the rest of the car's functions it has to be Volvo Spare Part No: 8251282. This is found on the bottom of the unit. Willing to pay whatever it takes for a replacement plus shipping.

I gather the specific speedo cluster Part No 8261282 was used in the V70, S70 XC70 and the XC90 of 2001, and possibly late 2000. It was only used for about 10 months and then superseded towards the end of 2001.

Volvo spares no longer have any and have ceased to refurbish them, but there are several aftermarket refurbers in the UK that can bring them back to life and set the correct milage - 172,324 as entered in the service book at the replacement of the clutch.

The speedo reads in miles, and replacements will only be found in countries that used miles in 2001. Any vehicles registered in countries that used Kilometres will have a different speedo cluster.
