V50 1.6D eco 2010 sticky Throttle/Accelerator pedal

1 Attachment(s)
Had various issues related to throttle pedal recently ( I do realise it may have nothing to do with this as I had lots of random codes earlier in year but a good cleanup of ECM and fuse boxes/relays seemed to cure these) engine service light required comes on with drop in performance ranging from not a lot to almost limp mode but never quite. Took pedal off and clenaed up plug contacts and all seemed well although its now developed a sticky pedal which I cant get rid of: See log below. Nothing will clear the stickiness. I know I can get a used or new pedal, but will these need programming? And would say a focus with same part number be fine?
Also why does no one ever try to repair the pedals by undoing security screws etc? Im guessing good reason. I am hoping to perhaps undo pedal and gain some access to throtle pedal pivot pinion to grease it. thnx
Car runs fine otherwise.

05-11-2020 Took pedal off and cleaned up contacts and lubed pedal. Now warnings over an hour drive but pedal now rubbing and sticking so wd40 or contact spray to blame there.

04-11-2020 Error codes now P193B and P1577 on an hour run the engine service light came on a dozen times in varying degrees of slowdown.
EGR System=INC
MIL Status OFF

I’ve got the same car and same codes. Did you manage to get this sorted?

I havent had it done yet (my son will do it) but it makes great sense as the final frontier in a catalogue of dodgy connections. Hopefully :)
Most of the issues have been resolved with a good clean up of the contacts, ecm, fuse box, relays etc. The pedal one was cleaned up to but to no avail, and I buggered the pedal up spraying wd40 on the plastics..grrr Actually now you remind me I must order that pedal anyway as the stickiness is uncomfortable.

PS: Anyone want to buy a really good 2010 V50 1.6D Eco (apart from the silly built in faults) approx 150k but need an old banger in PX must have years MOT as I just dont use the cars and they sit around for weeks at a time. A killer for anything.

Pedal changed for a used one and all contacts scraped and cleaned again. Played up 4/5 times on a 60 mile run before doing it. Now OK again over 60 miles run. I do find once fiddling with pedals and contacts anyway in past it usually clears issue for a few months (low mileage and only occasional use). Fingers crossed then. Nice to have a pedal that moves freely again. If this fails then the plug and wires next.
