No I thought the same, the fuel filters are non serviceable and built into the fuel pump in the tank, it’s an 2005 s40 t5

Never seen similar on my T5, maybe its aftermarket? judging by painted frame something was obviously being done there... where does those pipes go to, can you trace them?

you are right ref fuel filter built into pump on T5 but Vida also specifies a version of EXTERNAL fuel filter for T5 for certain markets, I can understand that in countries where fuel is worse quality and/or on specialised vehicles maybe like police/ambulance version? dunno just thinking out loud here..

That’s not actually my car with the blue painted frame I couldn’t get a good anough picture with it on axle stands so found the pic online but it’s excasly the same as I have on mine, I’ll have another look where the pipes lead to

oh, ok. yea, follow the pipes and see, but I wouldbt be surprised if it indeed was a version with external filter. Is your car normal UK spec or some special / or import?

Looks like a charcoal canister, recovers fuel vapours from the tank. All cars have them, non-service item and no working parts.

Thanks i need to be able to move it to get the camber bolt out I’m replacing rear springs and my lower control arm bolts are seized solid, just wanted to know what it was before I started, thanks for the replies
