ETM Replacement £259 incl VAT
 

Hi All

Just a quick note to update on the cost of replacing an ETM on a V70 Phase 1 March 2000, at my local Volvo Main Dealer.

Not an easy decision to make, as the car was running fine, with the odd cut out, considering the value of repairing the car spent is about 15% of its overall value, with about 93k on the clock.

Anyway - What price can you put on safety - Put the Service manager over the replacement and he has indicated that he has never replaced a 2nd ETM yet - Her's hoping.

On the drive home, the engine felt much smoother, with more constant revs kept, when the car was slowing down.

Anyway price -

ETM - £150
Software - £25
Gasket £0.25
Labour - £50
VAT £34

Total £259.

Not a bad price, although if i was in N.America it would have been FOC.

Such is life.
