climate control light bulbs wanted for 2001 V70

Does anyone have a scrap climate control module with a couple of working backlight bulbs please. I need a couple of bulbs with grey holders and a couple with white holders. Part numbers 30739358 and 30739356. I do not need the climate control unit, just a couple of spare bulbs. For a 2001 V70.

Hi.

The cheapest way is to search " Grain of Wheat " bulbs . You can get a packet of 5 or so for peanuts .
No soldering involved , using the old holder , just push the prongs through wrap round and trim the excess .
Not sure of the wattage , about 1.5 and 2.0 watts i think , but there is info in this forum .

Same thing for the DIM as well .

I have already looked at various posts on this forum but have not found answers to what type of bulbs fit in each different colour socket.

For example:

The post (dated May 9th 2022) ends with an unanswered question.

Hi There
Does anybody know what the actual difference is between these two light bulbs (besides the base colour)??
Thanks
P.

The bulbs have different coloured bases, some are grey, some are white, and there are also similar bulbs with black bases in the lighting switch module. Why do they have different colour bases? do they have different wattage or voltage, size or colour or something else?

Because these questions have been asked before with no clear answers I decided it may be easier to ask if anyone has a couple of the correct bulbs that may otherwise be going in the bin.

They are different wattages - i believe the grey base bulbs are a higher wattage - there's only one to illuminate the central 'area controls' and some sort of plastic prism to distribute the light inside the CCM. I have a spare CCM but all the bulbs have blown.

White = 0.5 watt
Grey = 1.4 watt
Black = 2.0 watt

My internet searches found several sites detailing various neo wedge bulbs, but none giving specific detail of matching the Volvo oem specs and giving a large number of variants.

A couple of examples:

I`m misunderstanding what it is you are actually after .
Do you just want a couple of bulbs to get your CCM working or is it the actual specific item to Volvo spec ?
The wattages i quoted are approximate .
I tried and tried to nail the actual Volvo item but to be honest i don`t think even Volvo know . When i asked l i got blank stares and one answer was "It`s a purchased assembly from a sub-contract manufacturer... "
So , I looked at what were in other makes of vehicle and went that way . Trouble now is that many bulbs are obsolete or are nil stock so that narrows things even more .
I` m not prepared to pay Volvo price for a new one and couldn`t see the point of a second -hand bulb as it may only last for 5 minutes .

I bought some new switch bulbs (DTSC, Folding Mirror, Child Locks etc) from VolvoPartsOnline - they were expensive £5.86 each
