Is it fully synthetic?

The 75-90 gear pinion oil for 13 plate d5 xc60.
Is the spec fully synth or a semi? Not interested in searching out Volvo oil.

So it seems that it is fully synthetic 75-90 gl5 and the same oil can now be used in the rear diff and front bevel gear. Less anyone knows different?

When rebuilding the angle gear on my '04 V70R, I used the same oil for the rear diff as the angle gear, I changed this too seeing as the car was mostly in bits already.

The part numbers for the oils were the same on VIDA for both the rear diff and angle gear. Can't speak for the newer generations of Volvo but it's likely the same.

Part number was 31259380 for both (again, this was for an '04 V70R. Likely different on a newer model.)

EDIT: Just taking a look and oil with p/n 31259380 is also 75-90

There seems to be some discrepancy here though. Volvosweden on YT shows his Xc70 diff change being done with SAE 80 GL5 and the bevel gear with 75-90.

What car have you got? I already have a litre of Liqui Moly EP 80 GL5. I may put it in my diff. I am thinking the only advantage of 75-90 in that diff would be a longer change interval.
