Boot locked
S40, 2004
The boot's locked. I seem to remember this is a frequent occurrence. I can get the back seats down - then what do I do? Thanks in advance. |

ive crawled in and removed boot panel then undid bolts for catch and plug the gently but forcefully push open boot lid the cath will still be attatched to striker dont worry .onece open check wiring 1st on nsr its usually broken (got spare one her ive just repaired )

I was lucky, I managed to open mine by giving it a dunt at the top left corner of the boot lid,while pressing the microswitch ( trying to open boot).

- I've tested the switch on the boot lid with a mulimeter, and it's okay
- The number plate lights light up, so I've got voltage up there - I bought a brand new latch assembly (mine had a crack) - I'm getting 12V on the end of the connector which attaches to the latch assembly (see picture) What next, team? |
