Is this statement true made in his sale details????????

standard 850 R auto is 240bhp
standard 850 R manual is 250bhp

850 R was not limited production

It sold in alot more colours than black or red (Red/Black/Green/Grey/Turquise/White)

Most people have internet these days it is very easy to set up an acount on fleabay, the phrase selling for a mate does not fill me with confidence.

Their are plenty good R's and T5-R's out there, their are also plenty to avoid.

I though the red ones where limited and ran at 280bhp?

the thing is, it is not a matter of what we know is correct. Ebay sellers will write anything to sell the car. The amount of T5 ads I have read where they say this is a 'RARE MANUAL', and this is a 'RARE AUTO' version. do a search for volvo 850 rare on ebay, and the word is in nearly every advert. Now many of the sellers are amateur traders running from their front door, and will always use the term 'no V5 but have green slip' This means they have bought it last week, and selling it on, but not as a legal trader. THese know NOTHING about 850's and will write all sorts of crap in the ad

Then you get the ones who KNOW their car is not special, but a normal T5, but will flower it up, so the untrained, who fancies a T5 thinks they are getting a RARE SPECIAL

there are very few genuine ebay car sellers.

No, but it could have a stage one chip making it's power output close to the sellers claims

I went out to a black 850 R yesterday and got told by the owner that there are only 4 R's left in the country the alarm bells began ringing then as I know there are more than 4 because I've looked at 6 so far.

Ebay should do something about these statements, however, they just want the money and don't care about the buyers.

He has listed it twice and removed due to the Heater Matrix problem..... Makes me think that he bodged a fix the first time and it did not work.... My guess is he will try and Bodge it again... lol
