244dl bonnet
 

Hi , i bought a nice old 1979 244dl a few months ago which is in really clean and rust free condition, but it could do with a new bonnet as someone has tried to prise it crudely open from the trailing end and it is damaged.
Does anyone have one in decent nick lying around ? or can anyone put me in touch with someone who has such a thing? bearing in mind that later 240s bonnets have diagonal lines which slope towards the front grille whereas my car has staight lines on either side.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..!

hi have you tried the volvo breaker nr bonnyrigg cant remember the name, if not thier is a large bumper 240 breaking on ebay otherwise hold on one will turn up ,nice to see someone nr me with the same love of 240s im in fife with 3 x 240s running a 240 glt at the moment good luck gary

That will be the earlier flat front bonnet like my car has - I think im right in saying that all bonnets 1974 - late 1980 will fit....

Try Braydons or Salvo....

I dread damaging mine as they are almost like hens teeth to find in good nick!
