245 Rear wiper removal
 

Hi folks

My car is going in for some body tidying imminently and I need to remove the rear wiper but it's being stubborn.

Am I right in saying there's a cover that lifts up with a nut underneath? Then a tapered spline fit?

I can't even pop the cover...

Any tips oh wise ones?

General approach to stuck stuff - wrap the whole area in a rag and soak it in boiling water. The boiling water makes it expand (obviously) the rag keeps the boiling water there much longer than just pouring it on.

Repeat that about three times, then try again :)
