2018 XC40 Fuel Filter?
 

Hey, thanks for letting me join. Iam new to Volvos, but my GF has a 2018 XC40 & had shuddering problems under hard acceleration. Took it to local garage who thought the use of supermarket fuel was the issue. Using preium fuel has helped a good bit but every so often it still does it. So i thought id order a fuel filter & change it. Which seems harder than i thought as i cant see it, I think its a Inline one & dont want to remove all under car covers to still not see it. Has any one changed one? Thanks for the help. Gary.

Diesel or petrol?

If latter, the fuel filter is in front of the rear-left wheel (behind the plastic cover). For orientation, the jack support is marked in red- the filter is the black cylinder right above it in photo. If diesel- sorry- but unless it’s under the hood - I can’t help you with that.
