V90 support/stop/start battery

I have now got fed up with having to charge my batteries ever more frequently.
Yes it is time I bought a new stop/start, but does anyone know of an alternative to the OEM Volvo one?
As you know, there is not a lot of space under the bonnet so I dont want to end up buying one that wont fit.

Measure the dimensions of your battery and terminal post position and check them against the new battery advert, any good seller will include this information in their add posts, the terminal position should be the same as this example, the battery dimensions are in the description in the advert below so you can compare yours. Also check the voltage, Ah, CA.

This is just an example I am not saying buy this one.

I doubt it's the auxiliary battery that needs replacing. Probably the main battery is perfectly serviceable too, but its loss of charge capacity over the years is making your battery monitoring system think that there's a problem.

I put up with 'low battery' warnings and the loss of stop/start function for a couple of years before finally replacing the main battery last month. It all worked fine if it got an overnight charge but soon reverted to warning messages and no stop/start. All is good now.

Thanks for all your comments and advice.

In the case of the support battery, I was wondering whether we are stuck to buying from Volvo, or does anyone know of an alternative?

A quick search on euro carparts with my reg number comes up with this aux battery for my V90

Cannot comment on if it's right or not though.
