Driver’s side /OSF headlight lens for ‘91 740 estate
 

Hi all,
Due to a contretemps with a pheasant over the weekend I now have a smashed driver’s side headlight lens on my ‘91 auto 740 estate.

I can’t find a new/used replacement light or lens online anywhere…it’s the facelift model with the L-shaped trim that runs under the light and up the side of the grille.

The light unit and reflector have survived so I’m just seeking the glass, but will take an entire unit if that’s all that’s available…please let me know if you have anything!

If you can't find one then you can swap it to a 940 front end

That’s a very interesting idea-I didn’t know that was an option! I’d like to keep in original if possible but will definitely do that if I can’t find a headlight.

Is it just a case of switching the light units? It has a 940 style grille already I believe.

As far as I'm aware you just need to fit the sidelights and headlights, maybe the grille retaining trims too.

Whilst I have one it's not up for sale until the BIG sell-off of my 745 facelift within a few years time .... I don't know when I might need one!!!!

However, looking on eBay they are for sale if you keep your eyes open.

I bought my KJet distributor from Kommensiecake, excellent seller! Unfortunately he doesn’t have a RH headlight, and neither do any of the other breakers on eBay at present.

Will give Lakes a call asap though, I haven’t tried them yet!
