Rare volvo classic estate 760 gle v6 just over 101k miles covered in 31 years via 4 owners. perfect full-service history, original manuals handbooks, service books, 3 original keys, stereo cassette and 1990 car tax disc. 75 left registered in the uk before my brief ownership (i only bought it for uk lockdown breaks) it was apparently dry stored since 2016. this is the rare 2. 8 v6 (b280f prv engine) used in the delorean (but it's never been to 88mph). automatic with overdrive. The car drives smooth as a 2020 motor, effortlessly powerful and a quiet cruiser. being the b280f prv engine it has a timing chain not a belt with good tension. reg plate apparently valued at £600 alone (g818 kng). full leather interior. all original floor mats, boot liner and dog cage. full electrics all working bar the aerial – sunroof, electric heated seats and air con too. since i’ve had it, i’ve serviced it and had fitted a new driver’s seatbelt and windscreen. original alloys in good condition as are the tyres. the cars had undercar wax oil from previous owner – it looks just as good underneath as it does above. the list goes on with this.. please ring for anything i’ve missed but really you need to view this. only thing needs doing is the bonnet with its tablet sized paint peel as seen in the photos and a wing mirror scratch which i’ll have done if it’s still with me by end of the month. location Durham\Newcastle uk Please do contact me anytime on: the details below using the button below possibly delivery prior agreed payment. video forthcoming. thanks for looking. |
Very nice.

I don’t expect that to hang around at that price!
That’s great! |
Been kicking around for at least a couple of months I seem to recall. Love the crazy radio cassette with studio-style equaliser sliders

Been on here before in the (correct) sales section.
https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=320950 Also advertised previously in Somerset, without the paint damage. Someone on here thought the car had been local to Bristol. https://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/x/x/289296 The photos appear to have been taken on an industrial estate near Cheltenham but that may be incidental if the car was shipped from Bristol to County Durham during lockdown. Two recent eBay sales appear to have fallen through but that’s not unusual for eBay. |
That has the B280E engine (no cat or Lambda sensor but 170bhp, the B280F has a cat and a Lambda sensor and only 146bhp) and that engine was NOT fitted in the De L'Orean at all. In fact it won't fit the DMC-12 unless several modifications are made.
It started off a few months back at a much higher price (somewhere around £10k if memory serves) and has been advertied on ebay, Practical Classics, Car and Classic and possibly others. I'm sure in the other photos i've seen there wasn't a problem with the lacquer on the leading edge of the bonnet - what's happened? |
Give it another few months and it will be £1500 ! It might sell then

appreciate all the comments all.
I dont wanna sell it but I'm now doin 300+ miles a week and my local LPG man refuses to convert it as its the wrong type of fuel injectors or fuel something. nb. re: £1500 comment, you're right - I'll take a loss to P\X no doubt to some random garage who will then give it to a breakers. One less on the road! Steven |

If i was further down the line with my LPG conversion i'd add photos but i've created injector adaptors that lift the fuel rails and sit between the original injectors and manifold so no worries about disturbing the inlet manifold gaskets and no drilling of the inlet manifold. As for adding the Lambda sensor, again i've created a sleeve (split lengthways and to be held on by heavy duty clips similar to Jubilee clips but bigger) with a Lambda boss welded on, when the time is right i'll drill a hole in one downpipe and fit that with a Lambda sensor. If you really do want to keep it and convert to LPG, i can let you have details of those bits. |
