Hi
My apologies for being away from the forums for so long. We have had a few internal changes.

March is a very busy month for insurance renewals so please feel free to ring us if your car insurance is due for renewal in the next few weeks.

In 2010, we recorded an average saving of 10.5% off our new customers quotes elsewhere and we have just had an extremely good first 2 months of the year – surpassing our target by quite a vast amount!

In fact, we were already two thirds to our February target a quarter of the way through the month!

It is great to see people ringing us up but we would like every possible person who fits the criteria to at least ring us on the freephone number and hopefully see the benefits that so many other people are seeing.

Please phone on 0800 917 2274 or 01424 200477 for mobiles and don’t forget to quote the club reference number found in my signature below.

Also, please can you give me your feedback regarding the quote on here as we see so little feedback compared to the number of people who ring us for a quote!
The figures show a good number of people ringing but only a handful ever post!

Chris Knott Insurance.

Even though I am almost 55 and have a car with good standard theft protection and dont have any convictions, or medical conditions, Chris Knott couldnt offer a renewal premium anywhere near that offered by the present insurer. Last years V40, £144, this time V50, £230, Chris Knott over £300.

Have to do better.

For the sake of balance, they've just done my housemate a cracking deal on his new car.

Hopefully the news will be better for me next time I call...

cheers

James

But...

Helpful on phone - but not competitive

you managed to better most places for me this year,

£480s level instead of the £600/£700 from most of the rest
or the £2043.xx for renewing with existing underwriters (xl underwriting)

the breakdown ins is also a fair bit cheaper than other peeps,

Comparisons

On a 940 Sport Edition, and on a 740 twin-cam taken together (9 years protected NCD on both - some business use)

Knott - About £1350
Swinton - About £1250
Endsliegh - About £550

I see that you only really seem to comment on the positive replies, and basically ignore those that take the time to leave feedback when it is negative.

Again your customer service skills are impressive!

My comments are based on many recent negative posts on this very forum.

Either i am missing something, or complacency and apathy in relation to "Chris Knotts " seeming inability/desire to provide special or indeed even remotely adequately competitive quotations have become the norm!

Personally, i will never again even waste my time with them as i consistently do FAR better elsewhere.

So why are they the Clubs Choice?

Anyone care to answer?

Darryl

I am new here and I have been digging around to see the benefits of joining the VOC, My insurance is under £250 so the insurance discount is not a benefit to me.

Yes, sorry Derek. The main scheme has a minimum premium.

Good to 'meet' you though.
