The original is probably either a Denso or Bosch and will have the Volvo OEM part number printed on it - as long as you get the original make with the right part number it doesn't have to be the Volvo OEM so use Denso's on line catalogue ( http://www.denso-am.co.uk/e-catalogue ) enter either your registration number or the year/model or the original part number - it will find the right sensor and by entering your postcode will find a local supplier.....price is approx 30% of the OEM!
If it is a Bosch - go to partsforvolvos and put in your vin number it will lead you to ( https://www.partsforvolvosonline.com...2a946fc999ddbc or similar) for under £30 - from partforvolvos it will (a) be the right part and (b) work as it should! |
Don't forget to rest the DTC memory after fitting the new one!

https://www.ngkpartfinder.co.uk/ Top left of the home page that opens on, NGK and NTK logos next to each other. Denso also make them, as do Bosch. All are OEM suppliers to many manufacturers. |
