Wanted: 240 Lower Cassette Storage
 

Hello Volvo Owners Club! I am a new member from America searching for a rare 240 accessory.

The item in question is a lower cassette storage shelf/organizer. It holds 5 tapes and has a small pocket on the side.

I've been looking for one in America for a few months now, especially after getting my old CR-712 and Amp serviced.

In my search it's become apparent that accessories like these were not popular whatsoever in America, and it's very likely that none survive here. Figured giving Volvo fans from across the Atlantic a try.

I will attach an image and the part number I have. The image of the accessory is grainy, but it's the only one I've been able to source.

Hopefully doing this as a first post doesn't break any rules!

Not a great deal of help at this stage:~
I picked one of these up via eBay a couple of year ago ,excellent condition all-round.
The small storage space to the side also has a cover (not hinged) just a press fit etc.
eBay and the likes may still be worth checking.

I've also checked eBay for many months already and I've only ever been able to find upper ones for sale.

Yes I still have it but want to hold onto it, I've done a slight modification to the
little door by adding a small pull handle (made from a door lock pull)
The original is a little awkward-more of a blanking plate
(Will post a picture a picture later today)

The only thing that I can suggest at this stage is to keep looking- we also have a couple of other sites that sometimes have 240 bits for sale.
Bit of a waiting game I suppose.

Thanks for the pictures Bob. I've only been able to find ones in accessory catalogs. I guess the fact that you have one means I'm going in the right direction!
