I have concluded that the backing plates would require major surgery to fit the Valdez, on account of their not having the hole for the ABS sensor, so re-assembled the front with a shiny new hub, from Partsforvolvos, and bolts from Rybrooks local branch.

A customer of mine was saying he wants new plates for his non ABS 940 so I can let him know for you.

£20 all in; they cost me more than that after the shipping and they're now occupying real estate that I could fill with H0 rolling-stock!
