For Sale 1971 Volvo 145 DL Manual colour white.

Please note I have been informed that the car has now been sold to a club member.
Many thanks

J reg 145 DL manual colour white.

This car was aquired by the current owner, from a scrapyard in 1995.
Seven years later with a move of house iminent, the owner club member, Geff Lucas set about getting the car road worthy.
Restoration was carried out on parts of the body and floorpan although not a great deal was needed. Most parts were cleaned and lubricated.
Parts replaced included new front discs and a caliper, new disc pads, brake pipes and hoses, anti roll bar bushes, new tyres. The rear break discs were skimmed and part of the exhaust sytem was replaced as required.
The car has been hand painted but is a good job.
Part from once when there was an issue with the windscreen she has passed every mot since.

In recent years she has been used April to September annually and driven every week in that time.
Currently has 167,800 miles on the clock.

£595.00 or near offer

Please contact the owner Geoff Lucas on Tel: 01202 432855. Bournemouth.

Mot'ed and Taxed till September. Viewed it this afternoon and the owner took me for a drive in it.
It drives well (better than my 68,000 mile 145 I hate to say!) and has many more years of service left in it yet.
It will make a good workhorse for someone but sadly I decided not to take her on.

Any particular reason...

I intend to do a fair amount of work on my existing 145 very soon (suspension rebuild, overdrive conversion, bodywork etc) and thought it would be ideal to buy while I had mine off the road.
Sense got the better of me though and I decided that rather than spend the money on buying another I should spend it on the one I have already!
If anyone is looking for a tax exempt daily driver then this car fits the bill well.
It doesn't mention it in the original ad above, but there is a 7 seat conversion in the back!
And for anyone wondering, it is a NON overdrive 4 speed manual running a single Stromberg.
