Sorry if someone else wants to take this forward and contact the Royal Oak please do.

I know there's a car show at Pidley cum Fenton on Sunday that I may go to ... all depends on my energy levels

The classic car meet (unofficial - all sorts of stuff turns up, and not formally linked to the pub) is normally on the first Friday of all Spring through Autumn months. And on New Years Day!

Only downside is new folk running the Royal Oak haven’t got their heads around catering for a sudden massive spike in demand those evenings so buying a beer is a queue randomly 5mins to >30! Not sure about food - I guess you could book a table no problem, can’t comment on speed of food service on those nights.

Any idea when the first one will be run in 2022?

I can't seem to find any dates....

Ah maybe from April?

Just had confirmed from the Royal Oak that it starts from 6pm on Friday 1st April 2022 (Next Friday) if anyone is still interested?

Did you go?

Pub just taken over by new owners - more expensive but also maybe more reliable quality grub than before - we’ll see.

Hi,

New kid on the block, but I do happen to know Simon from a couple of pages back. Small world... Would be up for a Cambs meeting. Not clear from this thread whether it's actually happened yet?

cheers,
Mustard
