Ex-Police 2011 D5 XC70
Anyone interested in my 2011 XC70 D5 Manual? It's ex-Police so uprated brakes/suspension/Polestar ECU etc. Just over 180k miles (145k with Essex Police serviced every 9k miles, remainder annual service at sub 15k ea), bodywork a little tatty (minor scratches, couple small dents and rear bumper needs straightening/osr plastic arch re-attaching) but otherwise pretty good. 4 all season tyres, new front pads, replaced police spec centre console with SE version (cupholder blanked off, now not). Genuine rear floor, full sized spare (although doesn't fit under floor!), Volvo roof bars, spare (as in unfitted) gate mechanism for manual gearbox as current one a bit floppy - just never got around to it. LED headlights/sides/interior. Maybe some other minor things I've forgotten.
Change of life (furlough) due to CV19 means that this car is surplus to requirements. I had it for driving up/down M4, which it has done faultlessly for the last 2.5 years. Sound car, does what it needs to well, just looks a bit tired which never bothered me but easy to sort. MOT end Sept. Currently SORN'd in Wales but could be up for taking to London/that direction. £3500 ovno |
Any photos?

Photos would be good!
Am back in the market for a Volvo...having been away for waaaaaay too long!😂
Photos of the XC70 would be good. Also: Has it both sets of keys? Gears/gear change all smooth? Any interior cosmetics need to be made aware of? What’s the status of cambelt change? I expect it has, but as it full documented history? Any advisories from last MOT? Is it the ES, SE, SE Lux or SE Nav version? Aircon and blowers all work well? Are you likely to pop it through MOT, or leave to a new owner? Cheers! |

Answering all your questions... 1. Yes, it has 2 sets of keys 2. Gears are fine, the gear selector is "floppy" as the ball joint has worn. Included is a new selector (£250!) that I never got around to fitting as I just got used to it! 3. No - it has little history. Theres a schedule from the Police showing every 9000 miles it was serviced - whether to schedule or not I don't know. I've serviced it when I've done the MOT as under the 18k intervals. 4. 100k, 10 years. I presume the Police did it at 100k but nothing to indicate. I'm getting old but I *think* I had it done when I got it, just in case. Will try and find out as I certainly can't remember for sure! 5. front tyre tread depths starting to wear low - swapped f/r front brake pads starting to wear low - replaced these 6. Its Police spec, logged as an SE but based on an ES. I've replaced centre console so that it has cubby and cupholders again! 7. Blowers fine, a/c had the issue where it need shims. Garage says its fixed this but not driven it since. 8. Its SORN'd at an MOT station and its having a front u/j replaced when I tell him I want it back. It'll get a fresh MOT at the same time. Mileage is just over 180k. I'll get some photos up shortly |

Sorry about the mega pics - tried to downsize but can't work out the code.
Comes with a genuine rear floor and a full sized spare - police versions have mdf floor and no spare. Also genuine roof rails |
Is this still for sale?
If so how much is the tax? |
Yes as it goes, just sorting out a new MOT and have had a front u/j replaced on one of the drive shafts. Now found that one of the rear springs is broken, so once that's replaced, good to go.
Tax was £23.18 a month by Direct Debit last time I paid (a year ago) so roughly £275 a year but may have gone up a bit as new tax year. |
Sorry already bought a different car

Still for sale?
