2000 V70 2.5D Classic - For Sale shortly
 

Just putting this out there to gauge interest?

2000 Volvo V70 Classic Auto in Midnight Blue - 118K miles, very good history. MOT till Dec 22. Totally original.

Only had it a month - bought as a stop gap while main car off the road for repairs - driven every day, around 1500 miles total. Has a battery light issue @ 65 mph+ intermittently. As I drive to preserve diesel in these times it hasn't been a problem. ;-)

It drives superbly well starts first time, smooth auto, no knocks bangs or anything else. Aircon was regassed when I got it & it works superbly well on hot & ice cold.

Tan Leather interior, cruise control, heated seats. All the electric windows work, as does the rear wipe/ wash. Original volvo mats, rear boot mat. Tow bar. Rear passenger / boot windows tinted out.

Interior / exterior generally good but needing TLC - bumpers, drivers seat, armrest. One spot of rust on the bonnet - a stone chip around the size of a 5p piece.

Folding metal dog guard, rear load bay cover, space saver.

4 good Michelin Energy Savers.

Last service @ 116K , miles including oil / filter, new Bosch MAF.

V70 is on holiday in Cornwall last 2 weeks & will be back home Thursday.

The aircon is ice cold on these hot days, which is a real boon. Driving extremely well.

What would members suggest is a fair price for a V70 2.5D with 120K miles and good service history?

I'm just thinking if my expectations and those of potential buyers is way out I will just keep it for the next 10 years as a second car.

Having had 2 P2 Volvo V70 D5s one with 627K & one more recently at 265K, (both since sold)' the more I drive this car, the more I prefer it to both.

If your trying to flip it for a profit put it on Ebay .

A little while since last post..the car is now for sale with 127K miles..

Since last post it has been down to Cornwall twice without hitch as one would expect..I have done 10K miles in the car since May 22 without hitch.

It has within the last 2K miles had another oil & all filters change, 4 Michelin Crossclimate tyres. This week a new battery and a new alternator / aux belt fitted @ Caffyns Volvo.

It also went thru the MOT Dec 22, with one advisory - feel free to check out online.
