Sensus Sat Nav

Hi,
I've recently bought a xc60 64 plate. It has the non-touch screen sat nav. The map scale is set to high. Is there anyway to change this by zooming in ? Sometimes I like to have it on just driving around town and would like to see streets nearby etc rather than a town miles away.
thanks in advance
Russ

You should have one of these in the glovebox book pack ..

if its like the nav in my s60 you use the scroll wheel on the right hand side of the steering wheel to change the zoom level

Turning the top right knob (the one with the enter/cancel in the centre) changes the zoom on my 17 plate XC60 and on my previous XC60 (11 plate)

If you have a good read of the manual, you'll find that deep down inside the many menus in Sensus there are quite a few configurable settings for satnav.

I sorted mine out when we were away for a week and I felt that I had the time to just go and sit in the car and sort things out.

For instance, you can either have the display always pointing north or rotating according to direction of travel.

The most significant one for me was that my V70 wasn't issuing instructions for roundabouts, junctions etc. until I was actually on top of them. Then I found a setting to get it to warn me in advance just like my old TomTom does. Now it's all good.

I just wish that there was a way to switch Over-Optimistic-Estimation-Of-Travel-Time off.
