Different parking sensor fault

Hi

My problem seems to be different from the continuous beep or not working at all parking sensors problems on this forum.

My parking sensors give off a beep every second giving me an impression there's a object just in view of the sensors.

It doesn't always happen but seems to be more so after starting the car and reversing. It's done it when it's wet and dry.

My battery is getting old now, could that confuse the sensors if the charge is low after starting the car until the alternator starts putting enough power into the battery ?

My local volvo Indy said there ar no errors.

And otherwise the sensors work fine.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

First job is to get car checked for fault codes.
Car will record any past faults

How long does it happening?
Try to clean them first. Dont think it will help but who knows. In my car sometimes in the morning beeps. I clean them and problem is solved

If cleaning doesnt help than you need to find a specialist with proper diagnostic tools. I mean it. Not that one who can check for the trouble codes only.
Ive done last year parking system repair to my. If remember good enough Volvo Dice can help identify which sensor faulty (if there is sensor fault) performing actuation for every single sensor. If that wont help, than you need to check signal quality using oscilloscope.
If you'll find out there sensor problem - replace it only with genuine one. Crap for 20 pounds from ebay not good. Must be genuine one (used or new) to avoid interferences.

When we got our current one the rear sensors would give off the continuous sound most of the time but not always. Since I unplugged the module and re plugged it all back in it has worked perfectly so it might be worth checking the module. It is located I. The boot on the passenger side and you can get to it if you remove the trim as described for changing a rear bulb.
