S80 2007 2.4d swirl arm
 

Hi

I noticed today the swirl arm was hanging off, even though it " was replaced with new parts" when i brought the car in July, turns out it looks to have been heated and squashed with plyers to stop it comming off the joint. Its now just falls off the joint.

I have ordered a new one but how do i stop it coming off again?
I cannot see how the pin fix will work, there is no room behind the balljoint to drill through, or is there another fix?

Google it.
My old s60 I put small tie wrap on.then made a stop on stepper motor to stop it putting strain on arm.
