DRL day running lights
 

2007 V50 1.6 my DLR have stopped working when starting car and when in use. Main dealer used computer to check for errors none came up, they all checked all fuses and bulbs all OK. Any ideas or solutions welcome.

What type of DRLs do you have, LED or headlights?

An obvious one but have you checked the position of the lighting switch and is the switch working?

for 2007 your DRLs would be just headlights on position 0, you mean those dont come on now? most people here would probably be happy about it as its quite costly to disable them but nevermind that, does your lights work OK in position 1 parking and position 2 dipped beam?

There is a procedure that works for Volvo's after 2000 - copied this from another thread. Give it a go, it might work for you if your lucky.

to on/off DRL

put light switch to the Center position , (sidelights > Green LED ON)
Switch ignition key to position II (Drive, but Do Not start the engine)
Pull Main beam lever towards you and Hold it there,
Turn light switch to 0
release main beam lever

DRL should now be "OFF"

To turn them back On for winter / murky days do the Same steps.

If that doesn't work Main dealer is your only other option.

From what I remember thats only for 1st gen S40/V40 until 2004. Worked fine on my 2003 model indeed, but wont work on P1 platform.

same , on the V50/s40/others platform P1 the only way is "pay the dealer",
