CrossClimate or similar

I'll be needing to change the rubber on my V60 T5 in the next few weeks and fancy something like the CrossClimate - not that I go to the alps, I just think they're better for the UK weather!

So, what are the options and what do people think of them?

This is a useful tyre review site. They have a review on the CrossClimate tyres.https://www.tyrereviews.com

I’d like Cross Climates, I have them on my wife’s V40. Unfortunately they don’t do 20 inch sizes.

I used the Cross climates for last 3yr on previous my previous V90 with no issue. I took confidence on cold, slushy days, especially when we had snow last March \ April. I will look to change as soon as I can on my current V90. Would recommend.

Hi,
I have said it a few times (broken record!) on this forum but I think they're great. And have run them on my 66 plate XC90 for 3 years, and switched over brand new OEM on our T8 to Cross Climates the first week as I think it's essential to be covered for snow/cold driving conditions when thrown at us!
The CC SUV should fit your car, even if the CC or CC2 do not. The SUV is just a slightly thicker tread pattern they say.
THe only issue I've had is the concrete M25 between M3-M23 where it resonates (tyre size 275/45/R20 i think)
Do it!
There may be others out that are just as good these days, but I am not sure.

We ran CrossClimates on our last Santa Fe before swapping to V60 last year.

I also run Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO on my Z4 which have a slightly better wet grip performance. It was a choice of them or Pirelli Cinturato on a 255/35 18 wheel

Will definitely swap V60 for one of them when the tyres need a change…

I am on my second set of CC. First lasted almost 30k on my large xc90, great value for money.

Just put Cross Climate 2’s on the CC and very pleased with them. Used Cross Climates on previous cars and again was happy with them - whether driving to the continent or dealing with a typically mixed Scottish winter.

If you are getting them make sure you gets the Criss Climate 2’s which are the latest ones (previous versions Cross Climate and Cross Climate Plus). Ones we got are also stamped with the Volvo type approval mark.

Ran CrossClimate IOs on ,y XC90, very happy. I think you would likely be very pleased with them.

However, I have found the Hankook Kinergy 4S2s are slightly quieter, slightly better in the wet, and are also reported to be slightly better in the in what passes for snow in the UK.
