V70: removing front lens cover to access bulbs
 

Done the rears with LEDs and its a much nicer light etc .Ive done the fronts before on my old D5 but cannot remember where the clips are etc
anyone know a good method to access these bulbs ?

can only really comment on my own which is a 2001 pre-facelift with the original type lamps, far as I could tell (and I had bumper and both headlights off recently) the glass was glued on and taking the little metal clips off made literally no difference at all (wasn't really sure what the point of them was tbh)

last I heard people were talking about using an angle grinder to cut them off then re-glueing them back on

failing that the only bulb access is the more obvious answer i.e. from the back

it might be different on yours I guess

isn't it against the law to retrofit exterior LED bulbs into a car that has standard bulbs before?

Hahaha ...Should have put "Interior" in heading !!! Ive worked it out now with care and taking it slowly .Adding new much nicer LED's and remembering to put them in the right way as they only work in one direction .


The original bulbs are works of art. Amazing quality .Just a bit gloomy etc

No, put them in a very low oven and the heat will soften the glue holding the Perspex to the casing. The same can be done to refit them.
