400 series hot start issue

Hi Does anyone have the solution for the hot start issue with the 440/460 1
I have a 1.7 non turbo which has started to be problematic on hot starts.
Thanks

There was a small tubular fan which blew fresh air over the carburettor when you turned the engine off to prevent the fuel from boiling from the heat of the engine . Also there should be a black plastic spacer between manifold and carburettor for the same reasons ..
That for a carburettor equipped engine .
If you have fuel injection or the B18U engine then it could be the residual fuel pressure leaking away when you turn the engine off.

I assume it is ok from cold and only plays up if you try to restart after 20 minutes or so after turning it off?

What Clan said ^^^^^

Also worth checking your coolant level, air filter cleanliness and also the main radiator cooling fan operation (will only run when the engine is hot unless thermoswitch is linked out for testing) to ensure it's not overheating in other areas and/or overfueling due to a dirty air filter.
