Do you would still buy the XC60 without the BLIS?

By now is not possible to buy the XC60 with:
BLIS, Rear Collision Warning & Mitigation and Cross Traffic Alert.
Do you think you would buy it anyway?

I have one on order without bliss so yes.

St James Jul 29th, 2021 14:17

I wouldn't.

Other than a top end sound system, it's one of the few options I wouldn't do without now.

I think BLIS should be standard on every car/truck/bus in the world; the safety benefits are huge.

For me BLIS is a 'nice to have' but not a deal breaker so yes I would order an XC60 without it if it was unavailable.

Having had an XC90 for 3 years with BLIS and it saved me from a definite crash, I would never have an XC90 or other main car without it. Hence I got the last XC90 T8 R Design on route into the country with it prior to them stopping it on MY22. It meant I had no choice over other spec, but that was the only thing I HAD to have to buy the car.
When the dealer was doing the handover he said it didn't have it - my heart sank, and I was about to walk away from the deal having driven 5 hours etc, but luckily it was his mistake and it did have it! The 3 he'd sold the day prior did not. That is how valuable I put it.
it is of course just driver assistance etc etc, one still needs to drive and pay attention according to the volvo website :)

It was removed from my order thanks to the semiconductor shortage - don't miss it however, still love the car.

Saftlad Jul 29th, 2021 16:20

Never had it before, so I doubt I would miss it. Then again, I've only had this car for a few months.

Wife didn't even realise what it was, thought it was the indicators

Zebster Jul 29th, 2021 16:23

Will it come back as an option?

MG14 Jul 29th, 2021 17:31

Yes - because I have.

lukel Jul 29th, 2021 17:48

You have the bliss on a my 22?
