Deactivate dpf with viva

Hello. I have heard that volvo can deactivate dpf function with diagnostic tool. Someone know if this is true? I want to make dpf - off. I have the 2,4 d 175 hp from 2010 in my S80

Thanks

I didnt find any way to deactivate dpf with vida, so I have now Rica tuning with dpf off/egr off. Works very vell :)

I would have thought turning the DPF off was impossible. At the end of the day it is a filter and will still filter the soot particles pasing though it. The only thing you can turn off is the regeneration process which stops the filter getting blocked. So if that is what RICA have done, your going to getting a blocked filter and reduced performance at some point, along with an engine management light, unless they also disabled that.

Point with dpf off is to stop regenerering when you have remowed the filter :)

Ahh your doing naughty things, best not tell the world as I believe its automatic fail come MOT time if its not there.
I agree its a pain and I may well think again when faced with the £1400bill to replace it but its there for a reason.
Paul.

Yup, knowing how it effects the emissions and the benefits, I would strongly urge people not to remove it.
