Opinions needed:

I will install a head unit to replace the Volvo factory fit unit. But which one do you guys prefer?

Option A - This one fits into the existing area for a screen. But it has less functionality.

Option B - This one is larger, it's like mounting a tablet on my dashboard

Well, the new unit arrived today; it took nearly 2 months to get here. the build quality is impressive, the unit itself is aluminum, and the whole unit is quite heavy. I hope to install it in the next few days

Well, I started the installation today; there is one torx bolt at the back of the climate panel that is a pain in the arse. Also, my car had an old sat nav; getting the old screen out was a pain as well. Then I discovered the wiring harness supplied was incorrect. grrrr

However, the unit powered up, and I had no sound, but it lives; the car is a mess, still drivable bit the center console is out

Help

Well, the new unit, when connected, seems to power up okay, but I cannot get audio out of the car speakers.

Audio is leaving the unit. I checked using an external audio amp connected to the unit, but the car system will not output any audio. When I put the old CD head unit back in, it still works fine. I thought it might be the aux input switch but it fine as well.
Does anyone have the pin out of the audio connector that goes into the back of the CD unit?

This maybe related to MOST protection. Just don't remember know if it has to be removed to make aftermarket work. The MOST is checking serial nr of all the Audio units and if there is non matching unit then the whole multimedia network is shut down. No audio from any source.
