V40 gearbox.

I hope someone can help so thanks in anticipation.
I need a new gearbox for my 2000 V40 2.0l estate.It has the Volvo gearbox not the Renault.
I have managed to source a second hand 1600cc gearbox. My question is will it be compatible with my 2 litre.

Not sure, but I will shortly have one going from a 2001 manual T4, so shout if you are in need! Cheers...
