Rare 265 for sale

I know of a rare 265 for sale. The car is not mine and i do not have any pictures of it before you ask. as i understand it the car is a 1979 black 265 auto estate. the current owner is only the second owner and has owned the car for over 30 years. as the car is over 40 years old it is tax and mot free.

as the owner is very attached to the car she wishes to sell to someone who will look after it and not break it for spares or let it end up on the banger racing circuit. if you are interested and willing to pay a fair price please phone Cathy Spencer direct on 0208 461 4525.

i understand the car has been garaged for most of its life and the paintwork is good. the inside is black leather and is also in good condition. the car has been regularly serviced by an independent volvo mechanic.

i think that is about all i know about the car and from what i know i would expect it to fetch at least £2500 due to its rarity and its condition with the added bonus of it not needing tax or mot.

if i didn't already have six volvos i would be driving it now.

good luck

This sounds lovely, hope it finds a good home.

Just a short note to say that I travelled a long way yesterday to see and ultimately buy this car. I have had way too many Volvo's to count and have always kept a keen eye out for a pre-1980 estate. The car needs love, but I see it as a long term keeper and will bring it back to life. I will of course, be lavishing way too much money on it.

Thanks to 740 driver for doing another Volvo enthusiast a favour and letting him know.

unusual to find a black one, but delighted it has been saved. If boxy is your thing, those huge rectangular headlights are pure late seventies styling bliss!
have fun, jim
