Looking for a D5 XC70

Hi all, new to the forum.

Basically I'm looking for a reliable tow car, that's comfortable for a 65 mile daily round trip to work down the motorway. Ive had a D5 c30 in the past, but I'm looking for an XC70/V70, and I figured the OC would be a great place to try and find a good one.

Ideally I'm looking for a Geartronic D5 XC70, high spec as possible but one option I'm really after is the integrated rear booster seats (daughter will go mad for them!)

ill consider anything as long as its been really well cared for, and its not worn out, as it'll be my daily. On the subject of this, should I be concerned about cars over 150k for example? do we have any buyers guides on here?

Thanks for your help.

dont worry about mileage above 150k mine has 238k and runs well make sure cam belts have been changed if the mileage is high look for one with a documented history and lots of paper work check mot history to find out how its been treated by its previous owners.

I have one I bought new in 2011, specified to be as good a towing car as possible. It has been that too.
Now over 360000 km and still ticking. Gearbox oil changes are imperative for good reliability, especially when towing.

Parts involved in my aim to make it a good towing car are these:
  • Detachable hitch.
  • 13-pin connector.
  • Nivomat levelling system.
  • All wheel drive.
  • Auto gearbox with sports mode and Geartronic function (manual selection).
  • Hill Descent control.
  • Large mirrors.
  • Backup camera.
  • Parking sensors front and rear.
  • Adaptive cruise control.
  • Powerful engine (230 hp/470 Nm).

No child seats in mine, though. The kids have moved out since long, so I preferred heated rear seats instead.
