Volvo Insurance

I know its a silly question, but is there a good place to get insurance or get a comparison for Volvo users.

Ive googled and the best so far is Money Super Market and Go Compare.

Has insurance premiums sky rocketed as I am looking at nearly paying double I did last year.

I know I moved address - perhaps my address is a high risk area.

Yes, definitely a huge increase this year (41% for me with no details changed whatsoever). If you’re trying the comparison sites, 21 days before your premium is due is deemed the optimum for cheapest price. Too soon before the due date, the price rises steeply.

Try Sky Insurance (link below), mine went down on the last renewal. Chris Knott, Adrian Flux, Footman James etc etc gave me some comedic quotes for a Subaru Levorg. Try this company

insurance is very individual orientated.

My renewal premium with RAC was £50 more on a £250 premium. A comparison search found the AA at £210.

Does anyone know if a car has OUTSTANDING FINANCE the insurance premiums are a lot higher? And only once it is cleared does it revert back to original cost?

I’ve never heard of it before

Like others my renewal premium, Direct Line, increased by over 50% despite being a no claims customer for 11 years - also refused to insure Polestar post renewal. Much shopping around produced the best quote (to my surprise) from Volvo's own insurance at £420 - an increase of only £70 c20% with benefit of no cost monthly payments & no surcharge for Polestar. Here's hoping it stays competitive next renewal!

Probably preaching to the converted, but it hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread ... don't forget that the value of insurance is in the payout &/or repair, not in the premiums.

It's pointless paying the lowest premiums if the company you're insured with won't pay out or insists on repairing your vehicle in a shoddy fashion.
