Cambelt change when?
Hope I am in the right section here.
Can anybody please confirm the correct mileage that a V50 2.0D estate has or should have its cambelts changed. The waranty book with mine is unclear, and a Volvo agency reckons it is 120,000 miles, or ten years. Thanks S. |
Thanks for all the replies, it is apparently 105,000 miles, should anyone else need to know.

Not on all 2.0D's. On my E4 it's 150k miles. Earlier cars may be different.

Yeah I agree with the previous reply, I have two Euro 4's a 2006 and 2007 both are 150K, I believe Euro 3's are 98K?

140000 / 150000 ( depends if on 12000 or 12500 intervals ) or 10 years which ever comes first ..

well my car has just covered 61000 miles and they was a funny noise from the car. so took it to the local garage and it turned out to be a faulty cambelt tensioner, so it has had a new cambelt. old one did not look to bad but i would not want to run till 150,000

Thanks for the replies, I will try and ease back a bit, now where's that cocoa gone.!! BTW, it says on the V5 that it is the 2.0D E4, so I guess I am OK. Thanks again. Steven. PS, Can anyone give me a rough idea of the cost of this job. Cheers. |
2.0D @ Finland: 4 years / 87 000 miles
