Saffron V70R Auto FOR SALE

Regrettably I have to sell my rare Saffron, Volvo V70R to fund my University studies.

The car is very fast even by modern day standards and is a comfortable motorway cruiser.

I always try to be completely transparent when I sell a car in order that potential buyers know exactly what to expect when they view, so;

The Good

>Cambelt and water pump replaced less than 500 miles ago.

>x4 Brand new Good year eagle F1 tyres (+£400!!) Wheel alignment was also done at this time.

>Brand new rear brake caliper after the previous one failed, the discs and pads and fluid where also replaced at the same time with Brembo items. (+£400!!)

>Brand new battery after the previous one failed on me.

>Strong engine and gearbox.

>Solid under body and chassis.

>Stainless steel exhaust which sounds lovely on power without being excessively loud.

>Luggage cover and dog guard (You rarely see these!)

>I plan on changing the oil and filters prior to sale if time allows, if not all the service parts and oil will be included. (Engine oil, fuel filter, oil filter, air filter)

>MOT unit October 2017.

The not so good

>This is a 19 year old car and has scratches, marks and the odd dent. However the paint cleans up really well and is very eye catching. There are a couple of small areas of surface bubbling as shown in the pictures. Overall car is very presentable given its age.

>The car is currently FWD as the prop shaft has been disconnected and removed from the vehicle. However it is included in the sale. This is commonly done to improve fuel economy and tire life. It doesn't really affect the way the car drives due to the way the 4-wheel drive system operates. It is very easy to re-attach is desired.

>The A/C needs re-gassing.

>Wheels could do with a refurbishing as they have been spray painted black and look a bit shabby.

Ideally I would like the car to go to an enthusiast who will look after it as these Volvo's are becoming rare now. Alternatively the cavernous boot make the car a great load lugger/workhorse.

The car is located in Stowmarket, Suffolk, but I am frequently at my partner's house in North London, viewing can be arranged in either location.

Please contact me to arrange a viewing. I respectfully ask that if you arrange a viewing that you stick to it, or at least let me know that you are not coming with plenty of notice.

I will only sell to buyers who have viewed the car as that way I know you are serious.

Please no tyre kickers, or dreamers. Proof of insurance required to test drive otherwise I will drive you.

Please find pictures of the car in the following link;

Offers in the region of £2000. Cash on collection preferred, bank transfer, cheques accepted. All funds must clear before ownership is transferred.

Sold as seen, no warranty given or implied.

Regards,
Greg

Looks like a nice car. GLWTS, I'll be keeping an eye on it.
Is there an actual problem with the AWD system? It's more common the prop is removed to resolve an issue with the angle gear.

GregStearn87 Jun 11th, 2017 19:59

It was removed prior to me buying it so I'm not 100% if I'm being honest. I had the car checked out after I bought it at a local garage and they didn't seem to think there was any reason the AWD wouldn't work if the prop was refitted.

I have a kit I can sell whoever buys this, to convert this to a manual AWD with the correct (rebuilt) prop etc, and a good angle gear if needed.

Good luck with the sale, I do miss my AWD R.

Greg

Was that you stopped on the southbound section of the A14 / 11 split a few weeks ago travelling Stowmarket to North London ?

GregStearn87 Jun 12th, 2017 15:56

I can't recall stopping, but I regularly do take that route.

Oh if it was me I do apologise. I was probably in my own little world.

With regards to the sale, I'm dropping the price to offers close to £1800.

Oil and Filters are being done this week.

No need to apologise buddy, I mean who takes any note of a clown in a Note ?

Hope your gal finds a good home
