Tyres 205/60R15

I have a set of four Avon ZV7 tyres in 205/60R15 which is an upgrade over the 195/65R15 tyres. Better road holding and a lower profile sidewall so less flex, I have these on my 1990 760 turbo so I know they fit and they're the same rolling radius so the speedometer is unaffected.

Two are virtually brand new in terms of tread as one still has very clear pink/green lines and the other you can just about make out the green line.

The other two have 7/8mm tread across the middle and 6mm at the edges.

Date stamped
16 22
39 17
48 21 (new one)
16 17 (new one)

The load rating is 91 (615kg)
Speed rating V (131mph)

These would be £91 each from national tyres fitted

£150 collected from Worcester

I also have a cooper tyre with a lot of tread on it in the same size that is made by Avon and the tread is virtually the same, perfect for a spare, I don't have access to it ATM but I can include this for an extra £30 so you can have a set of five 205/60R15 tyres for £180 collected.

These will massively improve the grip of your car if you have cheap Chinese ditch finders fitted.

I can send photos through WhatsApp.

I've got a set of four adharas I can fit the tyres to for the same price as I've no use for the adharas.

Is it really an upgrade? The benefit of having the larger tyres for means that (so far) the alloys which I drive on haven't been damaged by potholes. If you drive on steelies I guess you would also be unaffected.

Just a sobering thought.....

Wider track means better grip, going down from a 65 profile to a 60 profile means there's less sidewall flex too but they're still a balloon tyre not a low profile tyre like most modern cars have. I have these exact same tyres and size on my 1990 760 turbo and there's no way a kerb would damage them. Even my 940 with the standard 205/55R16 tyres wouldn't get damaged by a kerb, so yes they are an upgrade and they're cheaper than five Chinese junk tyres. If a pothole damaged them you would need to be doing some speed and it would be a big pothole so you should spot it before crashing in to it.

fair enough.

Chinese junk tyres are no good to anyone.....
