XC90 '56 (07) D5 SE 52k for (relucktant) sale..
 

Hello all,

After being a fine servant of our family of 3 kids and me and my wife for 4 years its unfortately time to sell our trusty XC90 to try and free up some cash for a house move.

Its an brilliant family car, as you all know, and hasn't missed a beat in the time we have had her. Good condiiton and fairly low mileage for the year. Full detials below:

52,000 miles, 56 plate (2007) 2.4 D5 (185 BHP) Geartronic SE model with Winter pack (heated seats, front fog lights, headlight wash) black leather seats, chrome inserts, 5 Door, 7 seats, Diesel, 6 disk CD, Cruise control, Climate control, Ipod connection, rear privacy glass, passenger airbag, Side airbags, Steering wheel reach adjustment, Rear headrests, Roof rails, boot protector matt. Full service history (Pilling Volvo with last service at local Volvo specialist), 5 months TAX, MOT Jan 2012. 2 Owners from new. £16,995 ONO.

Lots of views, but seems no one is interested... looking around it seems a good price given the mileage, spec and age, but woudl be willing to drop to £16,500. If not i'll just hang on to it I reckon - as its a relucktant sale to help the finances as we downsize cars before moving house.

I've also got it on Autotrader and as a word of warning i've had around 6 emails now from people saying they want to buy for the asking price and for me to provid ethem with my paypal acount and phone number. Thinking this doesn't sound right I did a google search on 'paypal car scam' and found a load of results - apparently the scam is they ask for your paypal then transfer the money into your account whilst arranging to pick up the car as soon as possible after the transfer. They then either cancel the transaction or contact paypal to say there has been a fraudulent transaction. Paypal apparently tend to side with the buyer and then remove the money out of your account by which time the buyer is long gone...

Had the same scammers & timewasters when I recently sold my VRs to buy my XC90...just be careful & hang in there. Have you tried other 'free' sites like Pistonheads, Gumtree etc?

Sounds like you are in the fortunate position where you can maybe hang onto it rather than drop too low.

She is a nice example in a bonnie colour, there will be a buyer out there for you
