S-60 pulsing/spluttering
My '51 plate D5 S-60 has been playing up for a while now. First it was the Intercooler pipe which when split made a proper racket !! But new pipe problem solved.
It has started pulsing (2500-3000 revs) on a cruise daily up and down A1, I say pulsing its like a spluttering, wierd ! I took it to my pals garage and he downloaded the ECU and it had MAF and several others which I cant remember, anyway he cleared them and on the drive away it felt much sharper !?? Since then it had run fine, last week was spot on. It has a tuning box, but it still pulses with this connected or not. It seems to clear a lttle when I fill the tank up full, perhaps water in the tank ? I cleaned the electronic connections today that I could get at. It threw up a low collant level stop light yesterday, so I stopped checked the coolant and it was full ? I opened the cap released the pressure and it dissappeared, until I stopped/started again !? Anyway I have filled the tank tonight and it ran a bit sharper, but started pulsing around 2500-3000 rpm any ideas ?? |
fuel filter??? maybe.

Sorted it, cleaned the Mass Air flow connections, turbo inlet sensor connections, common rail sensor connections with Electro lube cleaner and it ran like a proverbial train-wierd !!

Its back again, large smoke on when accelerating, took it for download and sayes its the MAp torbo pressure sensor-£91 Volvo bit-anyone got cheaper ??
