Wanted - Large volvo estate
 

Morning all,
Apologies if this turns out to be better off in one of the model specific areas of the forum.

I currently have a Mercedes SL which is great but as my partner has a C70 we struggle occasionally when we need to carry a bit of luggage or move stuff around.

We are having a kitchen extension built this summer and will need a car with the space to fetch and carry and runs to the stores and to the tip etc......

We like the C70 and Ive had enough of the auto in the Merc so the Merc is the one to go.

I would like a big Volvo estate, I dont want to spend more than £1700 and it must be a manual.
I also have a project car in the garage so dont have the room for a car needing work so long MOT or a no hassle obtaining another MOT car is a must

If you check on the model threads, 700, 900, V70 etc that have a Sale and Wanted section, your stand more chance 0n there, Jen

Thanks, checked those and cant see anything that fits the bill plus I thought there would be a greater chance of someone who either might know of or have a car for sale and see the post in a general area of the forum.

I would always prefer to buy through a club / enthusiasts forum if possible

'N' reg 960 estate with 2.5 ltr straight 6 engine and manual gearbox available. Currently on SORN. Last MOT expired June 2013. Advisories on last MOT were for suspension bushes being 'deteriorated' but not causing excessive play. Mileage in the region of 163000. Car has been dry stored virtually since end of last MOT. Vehicle has just recently been moved by tow (some 12 miles) with no adverse comments from the towed driver. No pics available just now. If this car is of interest then I would have it checked over for MOT purposes and get back to you with details. Price would probably be about £750, depending on MOT check results. The 245 looks great but it is out of my price range pls it would be a shame to use it as a work horse
The 960 sounds interesting but I need to be on the raod straight away so MOT is essential
