Ruddspeed pics

Just reading about the Ruddspeeds in the "Wants" section.
Post your pics of Ruddspeed items... I read that Ken Rudd passed away last August too. Would be interesting to see what Ruddspeed stuff is out there seeing as there is ZERO chance of finding anything genuine in NZ, except for this badge.... |
Good Lord! How did you come by that? Ken used to fit them on the wings, next to the 122S badge. Also seen one on the ashtray (!) of a RHD conversion Alfa 2.6.

Ha, genuine ruddspeed b18 head on my p1800 will be in NZ soon. Just one city south of you too!

Hi all. At some point I will get pics up of the ruddspeed parts from the p1800 and Amazon I have. I have two rudd speed engines b18 and b20. Rudd speed dials for my Amazon and rudd speed badges.

Would be good to see them

Touring spec Ruddspeed B18 122S Amazon
Hi, I have a time warp Ruddspeed B18 122S Amazon first purchased in June 1964 from Rudds of Worthing & modified to fast road, or then described as 'touring spec' from new. I purchased it in October 2007, the car only covering 24k miles at that time. I am effectively the third owner. I have the purchase invoice & documents showing what modifications were available from Rudds at the time, including prices. The original owner of this car went for the mid range 10:1 compression head on twin SU H6's carburettors, 'touring' cam, aluminium coated free flow exhaust manifold, twin exhaust, Koni adjustable shocks, lower springs & wire wheels. (The base car price was £1171. 8S. 9d. And the Ruddspeed modifications £147.0.0!)
The car has now covered approximately 30k miles from new. I am happy to supply reference material if anybody is attempting to restore a Ruddspeed car to original specification |
