Proofed the roof beads with Gtechniq Smart fabric applied with a small paint brush. Cleaned the rubber seals and treated with Autoglym Vinyl and rubber care, cleaned all the windows and re-fitted the passenger door card. Paint work polishing is next on the list.

Not bad from a 1200mmx500mmx100mm box.

Purrrrrfect stitching and unblemished fabric.

Sprayed and clear coated wheel centre caps with some eBay 'volvo' centre cap decals from Hong KongAttachment 96166 Real ones are bloody hens teeth or worth silly money.
Don't judge condition of wheels ,that's a job for another day !

Bought a 'flip' style key fob from evil bay too.
Seems all locksmiths bar one were apprehensive about cutting, claims that the blanks are made of sh#%e metal that is a) too hard and blunts the blades and or b) can 'grab' snapping the blank or flinging it across the room. Most flatly refused to cut. Others wanting the cost of replacement blades about 4x cost of fob. The chap that did cut mine didn't seem to care either way.Keep this in mind if your tempted to buy the same.
Fun and games first finding then cutting the chip out of donor keyAttachment 96168

# appears only one photo is up # this photo shows where the chip hides in the key FYI

PAS full fluid change, only recently found out the fluid pumps out slowly back the return pipe if you left right the wheel with the engine off. Took 1.5l to flush back to green. Steering is definitely lighter after doing this, worth the mess.

Flushed the brake fluid, cheap job and always worth doing on a fresh car, who knows what condition it's in. Mine was actually very good, fresh is better though!

Finally did a gearbox (auto) sump dump 500 miles after a full oil change. The new oil is slightly darker then fresh so I'm keeping an eye on it and will fully change it again if it needs it.

My Volvo loves me today.:rose:

Had creaking steering on nearside. Did'nt know where to look. So got my mobly-mec out.
Quickly diagnosed the top of the strut (bearing?) was the culprit. Instead of moving smoothly, it was jumping.....
So he went for silicone-spray oil by poking the spray tube past the little seal thing.
Result = all quiet....... for now!
